There are three ways to pay less on a Xeon NC order: order in a way that lowers the price our quoting engine calculates automatically, watch for limited-time promotions, and apply a discount code at checkout.
Most buyers focus on the third one — the coupon — when the first one is where almost all the real money is. Custom fabrication pricing is driven by setup cost and material efficiency, both of which you control through quantity, material choice, and how you package your order. Increase Your Part Quantity
This is the single most powerful discount available, and it applies automatically. Order two or more identical parts and the per-part price typically drops 20% or more. Push into higher volumes and select materials reach up to ~70% off the single-piece price.
The reason is mechanical: every job carries a fixed setup cost — CAM programming, material loading, tool changes, first-article inspection — that is paid once no matter how many parts you make. Spread it across one part and you pay all of it; spread it across 100 and each part carries a fraction of a percent. Here is how a typical small bracket scales:

Bundle Parts on the Same Sheet
If you have several different parts in the same material and thickness, order them together in one order rather than as separate jobs. Our quoting engine nests them onto shared sheets — small parts drop into the gaps left by larger ones — which raises sheet utilization and spreads the per-sheet overhead across more parts.

Choose Stock Materials and Gauges
Our standard inventory ships from on-hand stock at our best pricing. Specifying a less common alloy or an unusual gauge forces a per-job special order, which carries a small premium at low quantities.
- Stay on stock alloys: 5052 aluminum, 304 stainless, and A36 / cold-rolled mild steel are the most economical choices for most parts.
- Use common gauges: If 16 gauge will do the job, specifying 14 gauge "to be safe" can break the bulk pricing curve for no functional benefit.

Batch Your Finishing
Secondary finishes — powder coating, Type II anodizing, plating, deburring — are charged per rack or per cycle, not per part. The oven or tank runs the same amount of time whether it holds five parts or two hundred.
That makes finishing the fastest-falling part of the price curve. A handful of powder-coated parts can cost nearly as much to finish as a full rack — so if your design needs a finish, ordering in batches of 25 or more delivers disproportionately large savings per part.
Design to Cut Setups
A few choices at the drawing board change how steeply your price drops with quantity. Each one reduces the number of distinct setups in your job:
- Standardize bend radii. Three bends sharing one radius run on a single tool; three different radii means three tool changes. Fewer distinct tools means less setup to amortize.
- Keep silhouettes compact. Long, thin, or deeply concave parts nest poorly and waste sheet. A denser silhouette packs tighter and raises utilization at every quantity.
- Reuse common features. Standard hole sizes and shared hardware across your parts keep tooling and inserts consistent — and consistency is cheaper.
Reorder the Same Part
The second time you order a part number, the hard part of setup is already done. The CAM program is written and saved, the first-article reference is in our files, and the tooling sequence is known. Reorders quote faster and carry reduced setup compared to a brand-new part.

- Enter your code and click Apply. The discount updates your order total on screen.
- Confirm it applied, then complete your purchase. Make sure the adjusted total reflects the discount before paying.
